sashasomebody asked: I actually picked up on that acouple times. You really shouldn't, stephanie. Of all the things to feel insecure about it's really quite silly. and I'm not saying this to make you feel bad/worse, but truly, convince yourself of that. I haven't seen all the star wars either but it doesn't mean I can't have an opinion on it.
you will never see everything. You will never know all of the inside info. You just won't. But just because you haven't it doesnt make you any less of a fan.
I mean, take me for example (bcause that's the only thing I know)-- I don't watch anime all the time but that doesnt mean I'm not a legitimate anime fan. and honestly if someone thinks I'm less than them because of them then they're really just an asshole, IMO. I mean really... I love anime, and I also have other hobbies.

if you love it, it's legitimate. also, you can contribute to a conversation without knowing everything. no one is thinking any less than you!

It’s just that anime and video games are two things I honestly care about…oh, and books…speaking of which I’ve read almost zero classics…Why am I so weird and lame? I get so excited when I watch and finish and anime because it’s one more thing that I know about. It’s the same feeling from when I was in high school and I didn’t always get invited to get togethers. I hate feeling left out. I hate hearing the words “you haven’t seen that yet???” I just feel stupid.
