I think that whenever I say "YOU'VE NEVER SEEN THIS?" to someone, it's more because I'm implying that the movie/whatever is so awesome that you will really like it! not that "YOU'VE NEVER SEEN THIS? ARE YOU STUPID?" I don't think anyone ever means it that way.
